NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course

Welcome to the NRA Basics of Shooting Pistol Course offered by Bear Arms Training, LLC. We are so excited that you’ve chosen to allow us to get you trained up. This course is taught by a Certified NRA Instructor and qualifies you for your conceal carry permit. 

This course covers:

• Firearm Safety Rules
• Semi-Automatic and Revolver Operations
• Ammunition Knowledge and Selection
• Pistol Selection and Storage
• Shoot Fundamentals
• Pistol Inspection and Maintenance
• Marksmanship
• Shooting Range Safety

In addition to the classroom portion of this course, the student will participate in the live-fire training and nationally standardized shooting qualification alongside a Certified NRA Instructor. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be eligible for their concealed carry permit. The live-fire session of this course will be conducted at one of our partnered ranges and will take place at the end of the course. Additional information regarding the live-fire session is below.

• Price does not include ammo or range fee. You will need 50-100 rounds of ammo for the live fire portion of this course and is available for purchase at the range. 
• NO LIVE AMMO IN CLASSROOM.
• All firearms must be cased and unloaded-NO EXCEPTIONS.
• No firearm? No problem. Bear Arms Training will provide firearms during the live-fire session. 
• Firearm rentals and ammo will be available at range.
