Led by a Certified Instructor, the Ladies First Course enables you to attain a multi-state concealed carry permit from Virginia. Apologies, gentlemen, as this particular course is exclusively designed for women.

Led by a Certified NRA Instructor, the nationally recognized course qualifies you for multi-state concealed carry and HQL. It covers the initial 8 hours of the required 16 for Maryland HQL.

This is our signature concealed carry course, which prepares you to embrace concealed carry as a lifestyle. It builds skills in mindset, situational awareness, and everyday carry while covering Virginia use-of-force laws, including the use-of-force continuum for the armed citizen. How much experience do I need to have?

None. Each course is designed to take the fundamentals of shooting and apply it to any skill-level of student.

Do I need to own a gun before I purchase a course?

No. Bear Arms Training will provide firearms during the live-fire session. 

Do you teach kids? If so, what ages?

Yes we do.  Age restrictions depend on the course and the age of the child. We offer courses that don’t require firearms and others that allow the student the opportunity to shoot with a Certified Instructor on the range. Parents/guardians are welcomed to join us during any point of the course. 

Where do you hold your classes?

We use local ranges and nearby classroom space in order to offer our courses to a wider range of participants. We have spaces in Warrenton, Chantilly, Fairfax, and Manassas, Virginia. 

Do you have any classes for women?

Absolutely. Our Ladies First course happens to be one of our most popular courses. In it, we have students with all kinds of skills sets. No matter if you’ve never touched a gun or if you’d like to get your concealed carry license, this course is for you! This course is closed for just ladies.

Do you offer defensive training?

Bear Arms Training is currently in the process of offering a defensive training curriculum called Bear Arms Defense. Not to worry, our Private Instruction Course can be configured to meet your defensive needs, just tells us how. 

Do I need to own a firearm before taking any classes?

No. You don’t need to own a firearm in order to take any of our classes. We have a few options for you when you sign up. However, if you’d like to bring your own firearm, you may do so. Personalized firearms and ammo are subject to the rules and guidelines of the range.
