BAT INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT
(Intermediate to Advanced Firearms Instructor Training Course)
If you can shoot but struggle to explain, coach, or structure a class—this course is built for you. BAT Instructor Development is a firearms instructor training course designed to help new and experienced instructors improve how they teach, communicate, and run effective training. Whether you’re certified or preparing to teach, this course helps you move from knowing the material to delivering it with clarity and purpose.
Before this course, many instructors feel unsure about how to organize a class, keep students engaged, diagnose shooter issues, or communicate effectively under pressure. After, you’ll understand how to structure lessons, coach students through problems, and deliver training that is clear, safe, and results-driven.
This 8-hour course combines adult learning principles, curriculum design, coaching methods, and live-fire application so you can apply what you teach in real time. You’ll learn how to break down complex skills, adapt to different learning styles, give effective feedback, and guide students through defensive shooting safely and professionally.
Required Equipment:
- Reliable firearm
- 250 rounds of ammunition
- Holster (No Serpa-style holsters)
- Magazine pouch (minimum of 2 magazines)
