Bring Bear Arms Training to Your Local Range
Train Locally. Build Your Community. Earn Your Seat.
Bear Arms Training is always looking to expand into new areas and connect with local shooting communities. Hosting a course is a simple and effective way to bring professional, real-world firearms training directly to your local range—without the added cost of travel.
With the right setup and local promotion, you can help make the course a success while earning your spot in the class.
Why Host a Course?
Hosting isn’t just about coordination—it’s an opportunity to improve your own training and strengthen your local shooting community.
As a host, you’ll:
- Train at your local range without traveling
- Attend the course at no cost
- Bring high-quality instruction to your community
- Connect with other shooters and instructors in your area
Great hosts don’t just organize training—they help grow it.
What’s Required to Host
Hosting a course is straightforward, but it does require preparation and local involvement.
Here’s what you’ll need to handle:
Secure a Suitable Range
You’ll identify and coordinate with a local range that meets the requirements for the course you want to host.
Specific range requirements will vary depending on the course and will be provided in advance.
Provide Targets and Basic Range Materials
To run the course effectively, you’ll help ensure the range is properly equipped.
This typically includes:
- USPSA silhouette targets or printed targets
- Target stands and sticks
- Staplers, spray adhesive, or mounting supplies
Exact quantities and requirements will be provided based on the course.
Be the Local Point of Contact
You’ll serve as the main connection between Bear Arms Training and the range.
This may include:
- Coordinating range approval
- Providing insurance documentation (if required)
- Communicating logistics and scheduling
Having one clear point of contact keeps everything running smoothly.
Promote the Course Locally
This is the most important part of hosting.
A successful course depends on strong local interest—and you’re in the best position to make that happen.
Effective promotion includes:
- Sharing the course with local shooters
- Reaching out to gun shops and ranges
- Posting in local groups and online forums
- Gauging interest before scheduling
The most successful hosts fill their classes because they make sure people know the opportunity exists.
