Frequently Asked Questions
I’ve never shot before—where do I start?
Start with Tier 1: Foundations. It’s built for complete beginners and focuses on safety, handling, and building confidence from day one.
What will I actually learn in a training session?
You’ll learn firearm safety, proper handling, shooting fundamentals, and real-world application. As you move into higher tiers, training includes defensive mindset, movement, and decision-making under pressure.
How do I know which tier I should take?
- Tier 1 – No experience, learning fundamentals
- Tier 2 – Some experience, building defensive skills
- Tier 3 – Advanced training with real-world scenarios
If you're unsure, we can guide you or recommend private lessons for a more personalized starting point.
Do I need my own firearm before training?
No. Many students start training before purchasing a firearm. Training first helps you understand what works best for you.
What should I expect during my first class?
Expect a structured, hands-on experience that starts with safety and fundamentals, then progresses into live-fire practice with coaching and feedback.
How long does it take to get comfortable shooting?
Everyone progresses differently, but most students build confidence quickly through consistent training. Our tier system and training packages are designed for ongoing improvement—not just one class.
Do you teach real-world defensive shooting?
Yes. Tier 2 and Tier 3 courses focus heavily on defensive shooting, situational awareness, and applying skills under pressure.
What’s the difference between group training and private lessons?
Group courses follow a structured progression through the tiers. Private lessons are fully customized, allowing you to focus on specific skills and progress faster.
Can I train even if I’ve been shooting for years?
Yes. Many experienced shooters use our Tier 2, Tier 3, and private training to refine technique, fix bad habits, and improve performance.
How often should I train?
Consistent training is key. Our Shooter Training Packages are designed for shooters who want ongoing instruction, measurable progress, and continued skill development.
What kind of gear do I need?
Basic gear typically includes eye and ear protection, a firearm (if you have one), and ammunition. Specific requirements depend on the course level and will be provided after booking.
Can I host a training at my range?
Yes. You can host a training, bring professional instruction to your area, and earn a free seat while helping grow your local shooting community.
