SUMMARY:Tactical Anatomy & Treatments (Personal Survival Solutions)- March 14-15th\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Armed Citizen Encounter\n\nThis course provides essential training in performance pistol shooting\, integrating an in-depth\nunderstanding of tactical anatomy in a dynamic 360º environment. Students will gain insight into the\nphysiological challenges faced during a lethal force encounter\, including reaction times and mental processing speeds—critical factors in making effective tactical decisions. \nThe second component of this course focuses on life-saving medical interventions that may be\nnecessary after an armed engagement. Classroom instruction will incorporate elements from our\nGuardian Medical Essentials curriculum\, applying them to traumatic injuries sustained in such encounters. Even in a successful defensive shooting\, the reality remains that the Armed Citizen or a loved one may sustain injuries. \nThis course is designed to develop two critical skill sets: \n1. Speed and precision in placing anatomically effective shots to neutralize a threat. \n2. Medical intervention capabilities to manage trauma after resolving the tactical threat. \nThe final phase of this two-day course brings these skills together in live-fire problem-solving scenarios\, incorporating timed and accurate medical interventions. The training culminates in a realistic force-on-force scenario\, utilizing live role players to reinforce the integration of tactical shooting and emergency medical response. \nPrerequisites: \nThis is not a beginner-level shooting course. Medical training is not required. Students must have prior pistol training from a reputable instructor and be able to safely draw\, move\, and problem-solve in a dynamic environment. A skills assessment will be conducted at the beginning of the live-fire portion. Students may be asked to provide proof of previous training. \nTopics: \n\n\nMindset & Preparedness: Mental readiness\, awareness\, and understanding of the criminal element \n\n\nTactical Anatomy: Targeting options for effective threat elimination \n\n\nPhysiological Effects of Stress: Understanding fear\, reaction times\, and mental processing speeds in an armed encounter \n\n\nPerformance Pistol Shooting: Applying shooting skills in high-stress environments \n\n\nDecision-Making Under Pressure: Stopping an action\, issuing verbal commands\, and assessing the situation \n\n\nPost-Shooting Protocols: Managing the aftermath of a defensive shooting \n\n\nWound Trauma & Medical Response: Common injuries sustained in an armed encounter \n\n\nEmergency Medical Interventions: Proper treatments within safety zones \n\n\nSelf & Buddy Care: Treating injuries under pressure \n\n\nCognitive Load Training: Critical thinking\, problem-solving\, and positive outcome strategies \n\n\nRequired Equipment: \n\n\nHandgun (Pistol or Revolver) \n\n\nHolster that allows one-handed drawing (No Serpa holsters allowed) \n\n\nThree (3) Magazines (or speed loaders/strips for revolvers) \n\n\nSturdy Belt & Magazine Pouches \n\n\nEye & Ear Protection \n\n\nDurable Clothing & Footwear \n\n\nHat\, Jacket\, Gloves (For scenarios) \n\n\nNotepad & Pen \n\n\nIndividual Trauma Kit (Medical training supplies provided; personal kits may be reviewed upon request \n\n\nAmmunition Requirements: 350 rounds of reliable ammunition \nDuration: 2 Days / 16 Hours \nLocation: \nBealeton\, VA\nExact location will be shared with you after registration \nCancellation/ Refund/ Exchange Policy: \nWhen you register for a class with Personal Survival Solutions\, you are securing a reserved spot\, and we rely on your commitment to attend. For this reason\, all tuition sales are final. Refunds or transfers are not available for students who cancel or fail to attend. \nIn the rare event that Personal Survival Solutions must cancel a course\, you will receive either a refund or credit toward a future class. \nWe recognize that unforeseen circumstances can arise\, and exceptions may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis at our discretion.
