With a maximum class size of 12 participants\, you’re guaranteed to gain a comprehensive skill set and boost your confidence. \n\nDIVING INTO THE CURRICULUM \nOur comprehensive curriculum covers a range of critical topics to help you become a more proficient and competent defender of yourself and your loved ones. Throughout this course\, you’ll achieve proficiency in a wide array of skills\, including: \n\nDe-Escalation \nMaster the skill of defusing or reducing tension and potential conflict in order to prevent a situation from escalating into violence or further harm. \nEmergency Reloads \nAcquire safe\, efficient firearm reloading skills for uninterrupted preparedness during critical moments. \nSituational Awareness (SA) \nSharpen your skill in keenly perceiving surroundings to foresee and effectively address potential risks. \nPrinciples of Concealed Carry \nComprehend concealed carry fundamentals encompassing lawful\, safe firearm carrying while emphasizing situational awareness\, responsibility\, and ethical judgment. \nMindset \nMaster your mental attitude and readiness\, which influence actions and decisions\, particularly in challenging or threatening situations. \nLaw Enforcement Engagement \nUnderstand the significance of engaging with law enforcement while abiding by legal protocols and cooperation. \nEthical Consideration \nLearn how to evaluate moral implications\, prioritizing responsible and just actions\, particularly in self-defense situations involving force. \n\nELIGIBILITY AND PREREQUISITES: \nEDC 1.0 is open to participants aged 21 and over\, regardless of background or experience. While prior firearm training is not mandatory\, completing a basic firearms course before enrolling is recommended. Our dedicated instructors support you in establishing a strong foundation in concealed carry principles while maintaining a strong level of safety for all participants. \n\nLIVE-FIRE SESSION: \nThe highlight of EDC 1.0 is applying your newfound knowledge into practice during the live-fire training session. Conducted at one of our partnered ranges\, the live-fire session takes place at the end of the course. You will receive personalized guidance from our Certified Instructors\, ensuring a safe and rewarding experience. \n\nEQUIPPING YOURSELF: \nTo participate in the live-fire portion\, you will need 250 rounds of dependable\, jacketed ammunition—factory or re-manufactured.  Federal American Eagle\, Fiocchi\, PMC\, Independence\, or MagTech are who we recommend. Students are required to bring their own firearms\, holsters (NO SERPA or DROP LEG)\, magazine pouches\, concealed garments (e.g.\, shirt\, jacket)\, protective shooting glasses\, ear protection\, and a good belt. Students are expected to wear their firearms during the duration of the course. Your firearm is either in the holster\, at the ready\, or on the target- no exceptions. DO NOT remove your firearm without instruction. We prioritize safety above all else\, so you can focus on learning and honing your shooting skills. Our instructors are dedicated to an exceptional level of safety in each course. Any violation of that safety and the student will be removed from the course immediately. \n\nSEAMLESS LEARNING EXPERIENCE: \nAt Bear Arms Training\, we hold the seamless progression of your learning experience as paramount. SUMMARY:NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting- September 9th
DESCRIPTION:In addition to the classroom portion of this course\, the student will participate in the live-fire training and nationally standardized shooting qualification alongside an NRA Certified Instructor. Upon completing this course\, the student will be eligible for their concealed carry permit. The live-fire session of this course will be conducted at one of our partnered ranges and will take place at the end of the course. Additional information regarding the live-fire session is below. NO FIREARMS ARE NEEDED. Bear Arms Training provides all equipment. \n\nAmmo is not included in this course. However\, ammo is available for purchase at the range.\nParticipants need 50 rounds of ammo for the live fire portion of this course.\nNo live ammo is permitted inside the classroom portion of the course.\nIf you bring your own firearm\, all firearms must be cased and unloaded. DESCRIPTION:This is the next step in your personal defense training. This course builds upon our pistol fundamentals course\, heavily emphasizing mindset\, awareness\, emergency reloads\, and more. Here students improve their pistol-handling skills by applying all classroom knowledge to the range with Certified Instructors.\nThis is the next step in your personal defense. The Defensive Pistol course is to help students become aware of their responsibilities when concealing carrying a firearm. This course introduces students through a series of classroom scenarios and drills to challenge the decision-making process before\, during\, and after a defensive shooting. Each student will learn problem-solving techniques and build confidence in their pistol-handling skills. Additional information regarding the live-fire session is below.\nPrerequisite: Pistol Fundamentals with Live-Fire or equivalent.  \nWHAT YOU’LL NEED \n\nStudents will need to provide their own firearms.\nDouble or single mag pouch.\nParticipants will need 150 rounds of ammo for the live fire portion of this course.\nStudents will need their own holster (IWB or OWB). NO SERPA HOLSTERS\nStudents will need a concealed garment (jacket/vest/coat/shirt etc.).\n\nThis is a 6-hour course with a maximum class size of 12. Our Private Instruction Course is designed for any shooter level. \nNo previous firearm training is required to enroll in the Private Instruction Course; however\, we recommend completing either the Pistol Fundamentals to maximize your private instruction experience. NO FIREARMS ARE NEEDED. Bear Arms Training provides all equipment.  \n\n\n\nAmmo and the range fee are additional costs. \nParticipants need 50-100 rounds of ammo for the live fire portion of this course. Ammo is available at the range\, or students may bring their firearms and ammo.
