VIRTUAL Firearms Session:
Embracing the Best in Technology, we’re excited to offer a course that lets you experience shooting like never before in our cutting-edge VR simulator. Equipping Yourself:
No need to worry about extra gear because our course is entirely indoors, and we’ve got you covered with all the necessary equipment. All we ask is that you come with an open mind and a keen eagerness to learn. We’ve already made sure that each student has everything they need to make the most of this experience, so just bring yourself and your enthusiasm!
Plus, feel free to bring along any food, drinks, or snacks you’d like. We have a refrigerator onsite and warmly welcome you to enjoy your favorite treats in the classroom!
Seamless Learning Experience:
At Bear Arms Training, we embrace our responsibility to nurture the next generation of responsible shooters. We’re excited to extend an invitation for your young ones to take the next step in their firearms education. If your child is 13 years or older, they are more than welcome to participate in any of our introductory courses that include live fire experiences, such as the NRA Basic Pistol and our Ladies First course. For those who prefer a more private setting, we also offer One-on-One (1-hour) and Two-on-One (1-hour) courses with live fire on the range. We’re here to support your child’s journey in a safe and personalized learning environment.

What age group is the class designed for, and are there any age-specific restrictions or requirements?
Fantastic question! This class has been tailor-made with children aged five to 13 in mind. Beyond the age range, there are no particular prerequisites or requirements.
Do I need to attend the BEARSAFE class with my child or buy a ticket?
That’s a terrific question! It’s totally up to you. While it’s not mandatory to accompany your child throughout the B.E.A.R.S.A.F.E. class, we’ve made it possible for parents to join in on the learning experience. It can be a wonderful chance to explore and bond with your child while they gain valuable knowledge. Sharing this adventure together can create memories that you both will treasure! If you’re interested in attending together, we offer a convenient parent/child combo ticket option to make it an enjoyable shared experience!
What is the instructor-to-student ratio, and what are the credentials and experience of the instructors?
In our classroom sessions, we keep a friendly ratio of 10 to 12 students per instructor. Yet, when we dive into virtual shooting and hands-on gun training with SIRT GUN, we offer a personalized one-on-one experience. This unique approach really helps our students connect with the classroom material through practical learning.
Our instructors are top-notch, holding multiple certifications from globally recognized organizations. They not only continue to train with some of the country’s finest instructors but also bring years of hands-on experience both inside and outside the classroom.
What topics will be covered in the class, and are there any hands-on practical exercises?
What an excellent question! Our main goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills to make the right decisions regarding firearms. We achieve this by engaging in interactive Q&A sessions, hands-on activities, and an exam that measures their understanding of the material. These activities cover essential topics such as proper firearm handling (using SIRT GUN), magazine loading and unloading, aiming techniques, mastering the trigger press, and instilling safety practices both at home and on the range.
Is the class taught by certified instructors, and is there a written exam or a test at the end of the class?
Absolutely, parents can rest assured that every class is led by certified instructors who are dedicated to providing a safe and educational environment. Towards the end of the course, there will indeed be a written exam. This is an important step to ensure that the knowledge we share aligns with our mission of educating the next generation of firearms enthusiasts responsibly. When the course is successfully completed, each student will be proudly awarded a certification as a testament to their achievement.
How long is the class, what is the schedule, and is there any ongoing support or resources available after completing the class?
The class is designed to be a two-hour experience, combining both a classroom presentation and a fun virtual reality simulator training session. We believe in the importance of ongoing firearms training and safety, not just for students but for parents too.

What type of firearms will be used in the class, and is there a policy regarding safety equipment?
We incorporate a mix of training tools, including SIRT GUNS and the interactive pistol provided by GAIM. It’s important to note that these firearms are not real; they are exclusively used for training purposes. They cannot discharge any ammunition, but they are incredibly effective tools for honing shooting skills.
Despite their inability to fire projectiles, our top priority is safety. We treat these training tools as if they were real firearms in order to instill the importance of safe firearms handling. This means that whenever a student holds one of these tools, we adhere to strict safety protocols at ALL times. Your child’s safety is our utmost concern.
Are there any live ammunition used during the training, and are parents required to be present during the class?
Parents, guardians, and caregivers should feel reassured that there is absolutely no use of live ammunition during our training sessions. While we welcome each of you to attend any of the training sessions we offer, please know that it is optional and not a requirement. Your presence is always appreciated, but we understand that schedules can be busy, and we are committed to providing your child with a safe and educational experience.
What is the cost of the class, are there any additional fees, and does the class provide a certificate of completion or any form of recognized certification?
That’s another excellent question! The class fee is $35, and you’ll be glad to hear that there are no extra charges beyond that. As a token of our appreciation for your child’s dedication to becoming a responsible B.E.A.R.S.A.F.E student, they will receive a certificate of completion when they successfully finish the course. It’s a small way of recognizing their achievement and commitment.
What safety measures are in place during the class, and are there any additional materials or equipment needed for the class?
In addition to the safety measures we’ve already mentioned, there’s no need for any extra materials or equipment for this class. We’ve got everything covered to ensure a smooth and safe learning experience for your child.
