An NRA-certified instructor teaches the Ladies First Course and qualifies you for your Virginia concealed carry permit. Sorry, guys, this one is for the ladies. This is one of the most popular courses we offer! In addition to the classroom portion of this course, the student will participate in the live-fire training and nationally standardized shooting qualification alongside an NRA Certified Instructor. Upon completing this course, the student will be eligible for her concealed carry permit. The live-fire session of this course will be conducted at one of our partnered ranges and will take place at the end of the course.
NO FIREARM IS NEEDED. Bear Arms Training will be provided!

• Participants need 100 rounds of ammo for the live-fire portion of this course. Ammo is available for purchase at the range.
• No live ammo is permitted inside the classroom portion of the course.
• All firearms must be cased and unloaded. NO EXCEPTIONS.
• AMMO IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE COURSE.
• You are welcome to bring your own firearm and ammo.ATTENTION: SAFETY RELEASE for Bear Arms Training, LLCThe safety of our students and staff require that we take the following action, effective 07/26/2025:The SIG P320 in all its variants are now prohibited from any Bear Arms Training course.Exception- Personnel who belong to an agency/unit that requires the use of a P320 or derivative may use their issue weapon, but only in an outside waistband holster worn at 3:00-4:30 on the belt. NO appendix or IWB carry with this weapon. Students seeking this exception must provide written documentation that the P320 is their issued/required sidearm.

  All courses are non-refundable. A minimum of 48-hour notification is required, and participants may reschedule only once per registration fee.
